Kuwait Towers Kuwait Towers is a group of three slender towers that symbolizes Kuwait’s economic resurgence and also World cultural as well as touristic landmark. The structure is often referred to as Kuwait tower in singular although there are three towers. Standing on a promontory into the Arabian Gulf, Kuwait towers were officially inaugurated in 1979 and are rated as a tourist attraction and iconic building of modern Kuwait.

Grand Mosque Located in the heart of the city, the Grand Mosque is the biggest and the official Mosque of Kuwait which means that official religious celebrations are held in this mosque only. Locals refer to it as Al-Masjid Al-Kabir with total area of 46,000 square meters (490,000 sq ft), in that the building itself covers 20,000 square meters (220,000 sq ft). The Grand mosque is internationally renowned for its Islamic architecture and it has become one of Kuwait's most treasured landmarks. Indeed, the builders and designers have put a lot of effort in creating this mosque starting the project way back in 1979 and finally completing it seven years later in 1986 at a cost of about KD 14 million. Grand Mosque is popular for its prayer arrangement during the last 10 days of Ramadan. Thousands of Muslims gather during last 10 days of Ramadan.

Kuwait National Museum Located along the Arabian Gulf Street between Seif Palace and National Assembly, the Kuwait National Museum is a true representation of the Kuwait Heritage. Designed by the French architect Michel Ecochard, visitors can enjoy this historical museum, which represent the Kuwaiti life in the past, their everyday activities, the rich trading history of Kuwait and its traditions.

Liberation Tower The Liberation Tower is the second tallest tower in Kuwait, and the fifth tallest telecommunication tower in the world. It is the symbol of Kuwaiti Liberation, and represents the country's resurgence. Officially unveiled by the late Kuwaiti Amir, Sheikh Jabel Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on 10th March 1996, the tower is 372m tall, which is 40m taller than the Eiffel Tower. The Liberation Tower is so-named following the multinational coalition that led to liberation of the nation from seven months of Iraqi occupation during the Gulf war.

Al Qurain Martyrs Museum Al-Qurain Martyrs Museum, the site of a bloody showdown between invading Iraqi forces and a cell of the popular resistance in Kuwait. In the residential suburb of Qurain, this excellent small museum is a sobering memorial to a cell of young Kuwaitis who tried to resist Iraqi arrest in February 1991. The house, still in its post-attack state (fully supported with beams) has the bullet holes and signs of destruction caused by grenades and a tank. Signs show where the Kuwaitis fought and hid during the siege. An exhibition displays the weapons used in the battle, including kalashnikovs, tanks and shotguns.

Dar Al Athar Al Islamiya Historical American Hospital building was built before more than 150 years in Kuwait converted to an Islamic Cultural Center. This exceptional cultural centre has stunning galleries that contain some of the highlights of the world-class Al Sabah Collection, part of which was in the National Museum before the Iraqi invasion. With informative labels in English and Arabic, videos with experts explaining the pieces and some exquisite sculptures and archaeological finds of great antiquity from across the region, it's everything the National Museum could be, albeit on a smaller scale.

Seif Palace The Seif Palace was originally designated for the Emir royals. One of Seif Palace's best-known features is the watch tower, covered in blue tiles and with a roof plated in pure gold. Local materials such as clay, rocks, limestone, wood and metals were used in its construction.

Al Shaheed Park Al Shaheed park, located on the periphery of Kuwait city, narrates the story of a land, its history and culture. The park consists of 200,000 m2 of greenery, featuring beautiful botanical gardens, two museums - Thekra & the Habitat, a visitor center, a lake, walkways and jogging tracks, making it the largest urban park in Kuwait.

Dickson House Cultural Centre A modest white building with blue trim, Beit Dickson was the home of former British political agent Colonel Harold Dickson and his wife, Violet, whose love of and contribution to Kuwait are documented in the various archives inside the house. Highlights include a collection of photographs taken during Kuwait’s British protectorate era, a replica museum of the Dicksons’ living quarters and an archive of Kuwaiti-British relations that dates from the 19th century to the 1960s when Kuwait became independent.
