If you are a tourist, this place may be worth paying a visit to. However, you may be curious about what's going on behind this sacred temple. The behavior and morality of the chief priest here have been increasingly questionable. One of the main duties imposed on the Buddhist abbot is to reside at a temple. However the chief priest of Kamakura Hase Temple lives at a different place right off the shore of the beach. This guy, married to a young woman, benefits from tax exemptions and loves playing golf too. He is a hypocrite, crooked, and a lot worse than Donald Trump!

A temple complex devoted to Kannon (Quan Yin ) set in a beautiful garden with views of the ocean. One of my favourite places in Japan.
