The animals are well taken care of. There is alot to see. The Amazon exhibit is perfect for hot days as there are misters to cool down by and plenty of water fountains to grab a quick drink. Everything was surprisingly clean. Perfect for families with toddlers.

Just, wow. I'm from Jacksonville and the zoo there is great but I am SO glad I came to the Miami zoo! The zoo Miami makes the Jacksonville zoo seem like a pos and a waste of time/money. It is extremely big and took a total of 4 hours to walk through the entire thing (4 hours of just walking through - we did not participate in any of the feedings, shows, or zookeeper talks). The park is divided into "continents," including Australia, Africa, and Asia. All of the exhibits are big, beautiful, and well kept. You can rent "cycles," which are basically go carts but with pedals like a bicycle. I honestly think it seemed like more of an inconvenience to rent them than walking, so I'm glad we decided not to rent one. You would have to park them and get out for several of the exhibits. They also have a tram system to take you between continents if you prefer a little bit of a quicker method. There was also tour you could take on a cart driven by a tour guide. Again, just didn't seem worth it and we were okay with walking. All in all it is a beautiful zoo with many attractions, interactive exhibits, educational opportunities with zookeepers, and other fun stuff for kids (but adults can enjoy it too!). $46 admission total for two adults, well worth the money.
