Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park Darjeeling Zoo is famous for the rare Red pandas, where one can see them in their natural habitat. It also houses diverse rare species like Snow Leopard, Blue Sheep, Siberian Tiger, Black Bear, which one may not be able to see together in one place.

Among the various tea plantation present in and around Darjeeling, the famous being Happy Valley and Chitrey Tea Garden. Chitrey Tea Garden specializes in variety of tea bushes. One can see the entire range of mount Kanchenjunga while sitting among the tea bushes and sipping the famous Darjeeling Tea.
