Kalahari Desert
The tour takes place in the Kalahari Desert in Namibia. The rolling red dunes and soft sand are a perfect backdrop to your activities. This evening guests can sit around the fire, listen to the bushman stories, and experience traditional music and dance. The San elders will demonstrate their natural medical skills by explaining and showing you various plants and what their healing purposes are. Translators are on hand so you can ask questions about their history and any other topic that may be of interest to you.
NB: As this safari visits real Namibian communities everything is subject to change. If the community has a special event such as a wedding you may be invited to participate. Please treat this itinerary as an outline of what to expect – you are meeting real people and the day to day itinerary has to be kept flexible to respect their needs.
