Dickson House Cultural Centre The Dickson House is the home of the British Political Resident in Kuwait, Harold Richard Dickinson (Harold Richards Dixon). The history of the establishment of the house dates back to the early nineteenth century, and it belonged to one of the well-known Kuwaiti merchants in the past, Jassim bin Muhammad bin Ali Al-Asfour.

The Maritime Museum in Kuwait City is very popular among locals and tourists due to its amazing artifacts related to the maritime industry and history. In this museum, Kuwait’s history of sailing before oil was discovered, and there are all kinds of ships used to collect pearls from the Arabian Gulf or training with India via The Indian Ocean, in addition, this museum displays about ten wooden ships as the boats show how wooden boat technology has changed over time, including the bag made of date palm that was used about 1000 years ago and ships made of Indian teak.
