Come on our History Walking Tour presented by Junket! Most everyone of a certain age can remember where they were and what they were doing on the morning of September 11, 2001. The nation watched in horror as the clear September skies filled with smoke and debris from the Twin Towers. On this tour, you'll visit several important locations that were impacted by the 9/11 attacks, and view memorials dedicated to those who perished and those who responded in compassion and courage.

Take in the natural light and beautiful architecture of the atrium at Winter Garden. The atrium was all but destroyed in the 9/11 attacks, and reconstruction cost an estimated $50 million.

Irish Hunger Memorial Many of those who died in the September 11 attacks were of Irish-American descent. View this memorial to those who faced hardship during the Irish Famine of the 19th century.

Designed by an architect who witnessed the attacks firsthand, take a moment to reflect at this memorial that was meant to symbolize "absence made visible".

Originally built between 1967 and 1971, this sculpture was damaged in the 9/11 attacks, and was repaired and relocated close to its original location.

This museum houses artifacts and exhibits that truly illustrate the physical toll caused by the attacks, and illuminates the resilience of New Yorkers in its aftermath. Plan to return on your own time, as a complete visit to the museum will take several hours.

Designed to symbolize a dove taking flight, this is the entrance of the WTC subway.

St. Paul's Chapel In the aftermath of the attacks, this chapel was miraculously still standing, and was a hub for volunteers and first responders in the weeks following that fateful day.
