With our 3 hours Colosseum Arena you will visit the Colosseum, and Roman Forum and the added bonus of entering the Colosseum through the special Gladiator entrance and enter directly into the arena floor, usually closed-off to the general public. You will literally follow in the footsteps of the Gladiators - you can’t ask for a more authentic experience of Ancient Rome! We offer this small group tour in both English. Discover how the animals and gladiators were brought up to the arena where the action took place in front of thousands of spectators. Stop for a second to take at the moment as you enter the Colosseum through the very same entrance the Gladiators used over 2000s years ago before their lethal combats. Follow your guide outside the arena and travel even further back in time as you enter the Roman Forum, the true heart of Ancient Rome with monuments dating as far back as the 7th century BC.

Itinerary
1
Colosseum Called by the ancient Romans, "Anphitheatrum Flavlum" (Flavian Amphitheater), the Colosseum is the most famous and impressive monument of Ancient Rome, as well as the largest amphitheater in the world. The name is certainly linked to the large size of the building but derives, above all, from the fact that nearby there was a colossal bronze statue of Nero. With our fast-track entrance you will have access to the center of the Arena: have your camera ready to discover the Colosseum, where gladiators and wild beasts fought. The morning sessions were dedicated to the "Venationes", where the "Bestiarii" gladiators fought against wild animals. Enter through the special gladiator door and take advantage of the chance to enter the arena where the gladiators fought!

Duration:  1.5 hours

2
Via dei Fori Imperiali The Imperial Forums constitute a series of five monumental squares built over the course of a century and a half (between 46 BC and 113 AD) in the heart of the city of Rome by Julius Caesar and the emperors Augustus, Vespasian, Nerva and Trajan. Our guides will add incredible anecdotes about the Colosseum, the spectators, the fights between beasts and gladiators and the history of the powerful emperors and politicians of the time.

Duration:  45 minutes

3
Palatine Hill The Palatine Hill is one of the seven hills of Rome, located between the Velabrum and the Roman Forum, and is one of the oldest parts of the city. The site is now a large open-air museum and can be visited during the day. Here, emperors and wealthy families had their houses built, to admire the splendid view of the Roman Forum and the Circus Maximus. Together with our guides you will walk along the Palatine Hill, an archaeological area that the guide will revive by telling the story and various anecdotes about Ancient Rome. We will help you understand what those ruins represented, connecting them to the main characters and events in the history of Ancient Rome.

Duration:  45 minutes
