Akagera National Park

This tour takes you to a game drive in Akagera National Park, where you can spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and more amidst the stunning backdrop of rolling hills and shimmering lakes.

Considered the best one-day safari in Africa, Akagera is the only Park in Africa that you can traverse in one day from south to north with chances to encounter the big 5. Being in a country of Thousand hills, makes it unique. A combination of beautiful landscapes that are marked with open savannah and more than 10 lakes including Ihema, The second largest rift valley lake of Rwanda. It offers magnificent views and encounters.
Akagera national park is home to Rwanda’s big five mammals, more than 500 birds species and several other wildlife species.

On the way to Akagera, we make a short stop over to Imigongo Art center for the stretching, use the bathroom, grab a drink or take something to eat if you have skipped the breakfast. Feel free to visit the art craft and enjoy the work of African arts and take home souvenirs to you and your loved ones.

Optional one hour boat ride in the beautiful rift-valley lake in Akagera national Park. During boat-ride, You encounter aquatic animals such as Hippo, Crocodile, bird species and sometimes elephants.
