Concepción is a town in central Paraguay, known as a gateway to the Paraguay River’s beaches. Its museums include the Museo del Cuartel de la Villa Real, housed in restored 19th-century barracks and displaying military objects. The Otaño Mansion is home to a contemporary art museum. Northeast is Cerro Corá National Park, known for the peak of Cerro Muralla, tropical forests, prehistoric cave etchings and wildlife.
