The is one of my favourite art Galleries in Manchester. It makes you feel part of it and if you're someone with a passion for art to really pursue it knowing that your art may some day be on exhibition in this gallery. All the staff I spoke to were nice and knowledgeable on the pieces of art I asked about. They were eager, friendly and really approachable. The lady running the garden exhibition was just a gem and the gallery's garden is so peaceful and lovely to be in. The gallery has a lovely Cafe with some really nice food in there though slightly pricey but nevertheless worth it. You have a beautiful view of the gallery gardens and also of Whitworth park from the Cafe with optional outside sitting. The toilets have locker facilities, they is plenty of parking available around the gallery though being adjust to the main hospitals (MRI, St. Mary's, the Eye and Children's hospital) can at times cause shortage of car spaces. If traveling by bus then they are plenty of buses which stop at the gallery. This is ideal for people who have planned a trip to the gallery or as an afterthought maybe before a visit to the hospital or just popping in for a decent cup of tea/coffee and for some decent food. This gallery is smoothing, relaxing and charming and truly elegant with nice surprises.
