Pérez Art Museum Miami

Pérez Art Museum Miami is a modern and contemporary art museum dedicated to collecting and exhibiting international art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Established in 1984, the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) evolved from the Miami Art Museum, which grew out of the Center for the Fine Arts (CFA). The CFA opened to the public in 1984 as a partnership between Metropolitan Dade County Government and the Center for the Fine Arts Association Inc., a private 501(c) (3) corporation. In 1994, on the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the CFA's leadership determined to transform this County department from a space solely for temporary exhibitions into a private institution with a permanent collection dedicated to international art of the 20th and 21st centuries that reflected Greater Miami's diverse community and pivotal geographic location at the crossroads of the Americas.

All the galleries amazing. Scenery to die food. The restaurant just as good. Save up money if your going on date and doing both museum and restaurant.

Food is great, the building is beautiful with hanging gardens and the gorgeous veranda facing the bay. The art can get a bit modern for my taste (I like art, but I'm not THAT into it to get all the modern stuff). Lots of cool things tho and I'm sure with a tour it would be great. Free admission on first Thursdays and Second Saturdays of the month, and that's really cool.

The selection of Latina American Artist is fantastic. Contemporary art and interactive experiences for the family. It is located in a gorgeous setting in downtown Miami. Definitely a great experience for all the family. We celebrated my father's birthday taking him for a tour of the city in a private van and this place was a joy for everybody.

Beautiful building set in a stunning plaza. Most of the exhibits are forgettable, but a few of the special exhibitions put on during my visit were simply astounding. I recommend checking the museum's website to see if there is anything of interest to you.
