Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova

An interesting joint museum displaying both archaeological finds from the city's history and contemporary art. Popular and worth a visit.

If you like history, it's a nice place to visit. Plenty of items and other cool things to look at. I'm a bit of history buff so I spent like 2 hours just reading the all the things and looking at all the things. I didn't even get to see all of it, because I had to leave early.

Great brunch with smooth jazz playing in the background. The best part was definitely the dessert selection which included some of the M-bakery's great cakes

Nice mix of modern art and archeology. They are still digging out old buildings, bones etc. Lots of information about Turku's history presented in a way that's easy and fun to follow.

Good place to know the history of Turku. I spend whole afternoon here.

This museum has two parts: a historical one, where archaeological findings are presented, concerning life in Turku in the past; and an arts collection, with permanent and temporary exhibits. A good place to learn history and to admire paintings, collages, sculptures and watch films. The museum has a nice souvenir shop and a coffee shop serving brunch.
