I saw birds I have always wanted to see but couldn't find anywhere else. Many species of Owls and a Golden Eagle.

We took an excursion off the cruise ship and toured this facility last Wednesday. This place is a top notch place, great educated and respectful employees, very clean and we'll taken care of facility. Highly recommended.

This is a must see visit. It is a rehabilitation and educational center for all manner of birds, though concentrated on raptors. Though you will see many eagles while in Sitka, this is your chance to get up close to these amazing birds and learn more about them, as well as other types of raptors and several types of owls. The outdoor exhibits are in a lush setting and they mimic as best as possible the bird's natural environments. The staff is very knowledgeable and you can tell their work is also their passion.
