Very pleasant! This is a family restaurant run by friendly, capable people. I had Punjabi Lamb Shanks, cooked to tender perfection. The sauce was a rich, spicy gravy that complemented the lamb beautifully. I was offered a choice of rice or several types of nan (I chose butter nan), and that was exactly what I got: two lamb shanks in gravy and two crisp-tender rounds of nan. I also ordered a bottle of Shiraz which turned out to be soft, fruity and very tasty. The restaurant offers only Robert Oatley wines (McLaren Vale, South Australia). Their beer selection is limited to 10-12 of the popular brands from around the world. The decoration is sparing in a very tasteful way. Subdued framed paintings of Hindu religious figures, and by the front window a sort of shrine with Hindu religious statuary. Saturday night and not at all crowded; a number of take-out ordered were in the works as well.

We visited Vrindavan restaurant on Saturday ,restaurant was almost booked out.We ordered our food and were served pretty quickly. The lamb cutlets were succulent and for the mains we ordered Baby Lamb Shanks. The meat was so tender that it was almost coming off the bone and yet intact. Flavours were delicate with nutmeg standing out. The Robert Oatley Shiraz complemented the food and overall a fantastic evening out.
