Once Ni Ji burnt down and we were sad forever. Then it rose from the ashes and everything tasted the same. We're so happy to have Ni Ji restored and have everything back to the way that it was. What dark times those were. Service is good (they're always busy for dinner) and food comes out extremely quick. Food is consistent and at a really great price point considering the portion sizes.

Friendly staff, good atmosphere and among the best Korean-Japanese food you can get for the price in the general area. Chefs are Korean and Japanese and seem to always have a lot of devotion and seem experienced and friendly the few times I have spoken a little with them or heard others chat while waiting for take out orders. It's so wonderful to see then up and running post-renovation.

Of all the inedible sushi restaurants located in the east, Scarborough area, this one is definitely a place you shouldn't miss if you happen to be nearby! The sushi is fresh, and the waitresses are well-disciplined. I personally have been here over countless occasions since 2010, years before the place underwent renovations due to an unfortunate fire. I was there almost toward the end of their business hours tonight, and I'm pretty sure Patricia just below me was the girl in one of the few groups in the restaurant at that time. I had a moment to speak to the waitress whose behavior she seemed not to understand; and the fact of the matter is, no, tips aren't forced Patricia, but they ought to reflect the service that you've received. The waitress didn't tell me the numerical details, but I'm pretty sure your tipping did not sufficiently do so, judging from what I saw. From what I overheard, she asked politely whether there had been something wrong with either the food or the service, to which you responded "last time the tips were included in the bill" I highly doubt that is the truth, as even you mentioned that you "gave a small tip"... so..... you tipped on top of what you thought was a bill that included the tip?? and knew you gave a small tip?? Such immature lies to avoid tipping hard work. It was embarrassing to hear honestly. Your agenda to devalue and mislead the quality that this place offers is quite disgusting.. Keep up the hard work guys, you guys are awesome :)

The food is good bah the service is exceptional. We went in with our 2yr old son who was causing havoc. It seemed like they had tons of patience and didn't mind at all. Would recommend to any sushi lover and I will go there again.
