Bakehouse is an intriguing collection of galleries of artists, housed in the Wynwood art district. Parking and admission are both free, which is always nice if you're just looking for something to do. If you're an artists, there are studios available for you to complete, show and sell your work, and there are scholarship programs available. If you're not an artist, this is an interesting place to see all sorts of different genre of art and meet the artists.

I really enjoyed my first visit to Bakehouse. It's not often one gets to experience the large number of artists, working in a variety of mediums, that there are in this building. I traveled from Boynton Beach, which is approximately 60 miles away and was well worth the trip. My friends, who went with me, and I are all anxious to visit again. Well worth going to see.

Interesting place with lots of potential. In my opinion the exhibitions and programs they organize are quite bland and not at all thought-provoking. The mission statement of the place is great, and the fact that they offer artists really reasonably priced studios is amazing; but sadly there seems to be no rotation so if you visit them throughout the years you will continue to see the same artists over and over. I hope they shake this place up eventually, give it some edge and start doing some really interesting projects with younger artists.
