I always love dinner here. Great apps. FANTASTIC veal milanese! The sparkling wine brunch is awesome too. Keep an eye out for groupons! 1/2 price vino on Thursdays... What!? Super awesome. Every staff encounter I've had has been positive too. It's worth a visit. Honest.

The place looks nice, but the service is really slow, the food is random, the portions are really small. A frozen pizza would taste better than theirs. The wine is not bad, but they serve you less much less than a quarter glass. Not worthy a all.

Really tasty food. I had something from the fresh pasta range, it was a little aldente and it was delicious. My partner's dish came out luke-warm at best. We informed the waiter who quickly took it away and explained a new one would be coming. A short while later a fresh, hot, dish arrived which was equally delicious. The atmosphere was just right and unlike some downtime restaurants we weren't squashed against other patrons. The wait staff were very attentive with refilling drinks and checking on food but no overbearing. I look forward to returning to try more of the menu.

Went for a lunch date during the weekday with my mom. It was pretty empty, so it appears wasn't too loud and we were able to chat comfortably. The server was really nice and attentive, and the food was really good! We really enjoyed the complimentary fresh warm bread. We ordered a salmon dish and pasta dish to share, and both were really well done. Prices were fair. Would definitely come again!

Most inconsistent restaurant ever. I ordered a ginger ale and the glass was 2/3 full. The bread we received was salted so much I had to use a knife to remove it all. We got 3 olives in our bowl. Does anyone even care about having any ounce of quality control and consistency in this place? Also when someone asks for a glass ice water, if doesn’t mean they want to get a glass of ice then pour water into it from another glass on the table. Who the heck does that? Go get yourself educated on proper service you dumpy cow of a server. Last time I’ll be coming here. So many better places on king west or in general. Ugh.

My spouse was treating an out of town colleague and I was invited to join. The appetizers arrived quickly but the main courses took forever. When they did arrive mine was on the cool side of room temperature. We were offered bread twice and accepted both times but it never came. At no point did the server come by to check on us, replenish water or apologize. 2+ hours for mediocre salad and pizza? In fairness, they did offer complementary dessert to make up for it, but by then we just wanted to settle up and head home to bed. The only thing upscale here is the pricing and we're unlikely to return.

I’ve never had such a terrible roast lamb in my life. Texture like powder. Taste like liver. Other food were mediocre. Service was not bad. With this price for such a bad quality of buffet brunch. I will never come back again.

Tale of two perceptions here, the service and guy who served us last night was really good, friendly, quick and generally a nice guy, the Ale choice was good (I know it's a wine bar). The food however was cooked on the edges and stone cold in the middle. (Italian spicy calzone) being British I'm genetically created to not complain, and I'm sure the food for everyone else was fine.. Unfortunately my food has had negative connotations on my vacation today as it was the only thing I ate yesterday I'm pretty sure it is the reason.

Great food and the service was thoughtful. We experienced a few pleasant surprises on a recent visit. We had a vegan in our party who was well accommodated by the kitchen (though options were a bit limited). Lucky for our friend that our waiter was vegan and looked out for her. Another in our party also had to deal with an error in her order (she got the wrong dish) and that was dealt with quickly and unconditionally. I definitely see myself coming back again.

We went for a group lunch on a Sunday at 2:30, unaware that you cannot order from the menu. Only brunch is served. We were not told this when the reservation was made as it was our first time at this restaurant. We were assured when we arrived, that the stations will be replenished as we came in at a later time than most. This was not the case. Food was so, so. Expected a lot more for the price of $35 each. Since we were a group of 8, the gratuity of 18 percent was added on. We expect tip to be included, but also expect good service. I had to clear our plates and look around for the waiter to get us forks, etc.. Because it is an automatic tip, the waiter seemed to take advantage of this and not do his job. Perhaps ordering from the menu on a day other than Sunday will prove to be a better experience. Disappointed.

It's a nice, somewhat ”upmarket,” but definitely casual uptown ”Italian” style restaurant. It's also surprisingly large (two levels). Waitstaff really friendly and competent. Kitchen is quick. Food was delicious. Gluten-free options are limited but not bad. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5? It's dark. Really dark. Our table was alright, but we saw several tables around us that we literally ”in the dark.” I saw someone try to light up their menu with the LED on their smartphone. THAT dark.

I was actually here for Sunday brunch. They set it up so that there were about 5 different stations, all featuring different foods. They did the usual omelettes made to order as well as a sliced lamb shank for those who like even more protein. Other choices included salads, pastas (cold) and a myriad of cold cuts, cheeses, breads, pastries, etc. The food was very fresh and there was always staff coming by to make sure that serving plates were full and looking good. Service was pleasant and timely (they always know when to come by to take your drink order and/or refill - without hovering). I've been told that for dinner, it's also a great high end Italian bistro. Next time.

The service was great. As it was our first time there, I asked my waitress for some recommendations and she went through the menu with us. We order the fries which were actually made from corn meal and the sauces that came with it were interesting. The red was a somewhat spicy tomato and the white was a cheesy cream sauce. I got the linguine with seafood. The seafood was good but the pasta was salty. I ended up not finishing it. I brought it up with my waitress at the end and she offered to bring me something else but I declined.

Great pasta with many choices. Amazing tomato sauce and pasta even made fresh in house. Fast clean and spacious. Good service and lots of dessert options. Lots of pizza with fresh ingredients. Great for gathering with friends, family or a date.

Brought a big party of 9 here for a birthday dinner and It was fantastic! The aesthetic is beautiful and the service was great and the food was on a whole nother level. The house made pastas are always a good choice and my parents ordered the short ribs and It was arguably the greatest thing I've ever eaten. Would recommend, for a romantic date night anytime. Just watch the prices

Food is amazing and prices (excluding alcohol) are reasonable. The atmosphere is great. The lighting is soft and the voices of customers are thankfully reduced through pressing on the ceiling so it doesn't sound harsh. The wine Walk is great and a server uses a harness and pulley to get up to the bottles on the second floor The service was mediocre and it seems like they understaffed the wait staff. However the server that was there was great. Very friendly and was visibly doing her best to cover every table as best she could.

Loved it! Update: Made plans for the dinner. Called to book a table for 8pm (posted hours till midnight). Was told that since they decided to close early tonight, we’ll have to wrap up by 8:30pm (unofficial closing time). This is such a wrong thing to do for a restaurant... will limit my visits for lunches. No more dinners. Very disappointed.

Pasta is amazing, the restaurant itself has beautiful decor and a really nice ambiance. Drink menu is extensive and they have a beautiful wine cellar/closet? enclosed in glass. Hostesses could definitely be more friendly but that doesn't take away from how good the food is.

Came in for the brunch, was not disappointed. High end Italian fare, station style brunch. The lamb roast was among the best I've had, and the highlight for me was the made-to-order pizzas. Could be made better with more organized service, although with the volume of customers some mix ups are bound to happen. Overall an excellent eating experience, I have recommended several times since.

Half price wine on Thursdays! This place is a fantastic date spot... or a fun place to hang out with friends. Walking distance from the subway, and right in the heart of Yorkville. The food is slightly expensive, but delicious.

The pasta is hard and uncooked. The meatballs taste like imitation meat. It's almost as if they popped open a Kraft Dinner in the kitchen. I do NOT recommend going here, at least for pasta. The ambience is nice, but I could get just as good Kraft Dinner for 3$, no point in paying ten times the price.
