This is a must see place to visit if you happen to be in Lubbock Texas. There are several places to camp,hike, or just take in the views with both an upper and lower loop to drive around. Great fishing and boating access.

Very beautiful lake and nice atmosphere. There appears to be a lot of people that live here, but the landscape is nice to look at regardless.

I am giving a three star rating because I feel it is a good averaging of the place. During peak season in the summer I would stay away from here, it is overcrowded and there is litter everywhere. During the fall and the spring this is a great place to come for the weekend and it seems a lot cleaner due to the slower pace. Bottom line: This is a great place to go for a weekend during the school year but I personally don't think a summer visit is worth it.

My husband and I love this lake lots of places to camp, but every single time we come there is an event and so many damn people we can't even enjoy our time, makes us not want to come back at all, because we don't want to have check every single time before we come to see if there's a damn event, we wanna go, and find a good spot to camp and fish, but we never can! Stop having so many events please so people like us can go and actually have a good time and not be woken up at 6:30 by a food truck! We don't wanna have to go somewhere else, but if this keeps up we will.
