The staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. Excellent food and service. The bar is full service if you don't want to wait, and has tabled seating as well. Definitely a must go when in D.C.

It was our first night in DC, so we consulted Google for something somewhat close to our hotel. We found Legal Sea Foods and immediately made a reservation with Open Table for that night. We arrived at the restaurant a few minutes before our reservation time and were seated immediately. When our waiter arrived moments later, we ordered drinks, which arrived within minutes. By that time, we had decided on appetizers and a main course, so we placed our order. The appetizer, the Crispy Point Judith Calamari, arrived quickly. We had gotten the spicy option, which was so good. I could've just eaten calamari all night, it was that good. We both ordered the Nutty Faroe Island Salmon, which has a lemon caper butter sauce with mushroom ravioli and spinach. The salmon was good, cooked perfectly, flaky and tender. The ravioli was really good. My only issues with the dish was the lack of seasoning on the fish aside from the almond crust, and the lack of seasoning on the steamed spinach. Once you bit into the almond crust, the fish didn't have any seasoning to enhance the flavor. Don't get me wrong, the fish was good. But it needed a little something underneath the almond crust to give it more flavor. The spinach needed a little something too - maybe some bacon or something to give it a hint of salt? Aside from those minor issues, we enjoyed the meal and we would definitely go back if we're ever in DC again.
