My husband and I especially enjoy going to concerts at the Cactus. It is a converted old Theater that allows for an intimate experience with the band. Its historic charm more than makes up for the limitations of it being a smaller and older venue. Don Caldwell deserves Kudos for scheduling superb shows that showcase the creative talents of South Plains musicians. They offer a good selection of refreshments at the bar, including popcorn, beer, wine and spirits. It was a genuine pleasure to find such a true gem in the heart of the Hub city. Some of the best restaurants in town, as well as local wineries and the Buddy Holly Museum are located nearby. So next time you are in Lubbock, plan an exciting, fun filled day around your visit to the Cactus Theater.
