Every first Sunday of the month free admission, except for the Ara Pacis new exhibition space. In case of cultural events, the price of the tickets may vary.

Great museum, a must see of Rome. The only thing it could be improved are the explanations of the different things to see: there are few explanations and it's hard to follow them or even understand which is the right piece that you should be looking at... For those of us who aren't art experts it's a little bit hard to understand the historical and artistic value of some of the pieces.
