Was my family first time at house of blues in San Diego, been to others before. I wanted to say Ben Carroll runs a awesome house of blues and waitstaff/staff. That being said people the food here is so good if you ever are near a house of blues when traveling it's a must on your resturant stops. A+ / first class / 5 star dining experience from food to staff. Just reading their menu makes your mouth water. And I hate raisins in my bread pudding but here they make a savory banana bread pudding without raisins that will change your life. If you ever have an issue they hold your comments in high regard and make it right. Atmosphere is unique and if enjoy music you will enjoy weekend nights here while you share your dinner (trust me you have to share so you can try all your favorites) only thing I have to critic is we don't have one back home in Portland, OR we have a great market that could really appreciate you guys. Hope to see you all again soon(:

Good sound system but its standing room only. You wait for 1-1/2 hours for show to start then stand a couple more hours. If you need to go to the restroom you have to squeeze/push your way out of the crowd and then back again if your lucky to get back to where you were standing before. Not sure I would do it again unless it was a MUST see band. Getting to old for that stuff. But they sure pack people in there for the shows.

FOOD IS SO GOOD HERE. Got the calamari, and I STILL remember how good it tasted. Servers were also super sweet and really friendly! Venue was also good, like the vibe of the place a lot. Had a good time.

As a frequent concert goer I was skeptical of the House of Blues mainly for the fact that I hadn't been there before. But when I got there I was surprised by the way the people at the door handled a huge line and that they were able to get everyone in before the show started in a safe manner. The venue itself was smaller than I had expected but it gave a much more intimate feel with the artist. Overall I will definitely be going back to this venue.
