Beautiful park in the middle of a friendly, welcoming neighborhood. Love climbing to the top, biking up it, and just spending time here.

East Rock park is beautiful and has lots of great trails and paths from the Giant Steps - a narrow and cardio-inducing set of stone stairs to the top - to gentle paved roads great for jogging or walking a pet.

A beautiful park with considerably well maintained trails. My main hike was from Wilbur Cross up the Giant's Stairs to the summit. A 20 minute hike, moderate difficult, with the last 1/8 of a mile being very, very steep. Be prepared if you're going to go up the Giant's Stairs. The view at the top is breathtaking and well worth the hike.
