My kids love it! There is always something new to do each visit. The different festivals keep their attention and keep them interested. The people who work there are some of the most patient and friendliest I have ever dealt with. We upgraded our passes after the 1st visit due to the amount of activities that are provided. We just moved here from Orlando and the boys compare it to Disney parks with the same excitement!

This review applies to visiting the park in the winter, and if you only have one or two days to visit the park. Unless you get a $40 annual parking pass it's $15 simply to park. My family was unable to pass checkpoints in the park unless you buy their Christmas wristbands. It's at least $26 per person, not including meals. You can't even access the usual area in front of the generals on the mountain without wristbands. Worse yet, park officials won't even let you get to the train depot to get train tickets unless every member of your family has these wristbands. The same goes for the cable car to the top of the mountain. It also doesn't make sense to make you need a wristband to simply enter the area with restaurants in the park. There's really no posted information about the real cost of exploring the park in the winter, if you actually want to do something besides park. I have visited Stone Mountain Park in the summer months between school semesters, and the park really shines in the summer. The laser show is really neat, and exploring the mountain after going up via cable car is exciting. Don't go in the winter if you're looking for a chance to actually simply explore the park.
