Hattie's

This spot has gained popularity for its fried chicken... yet practically everything on the menu is good.

Fried chicken was awesome. Sides were also delicious. Pitcher of sangria was great, but a little pricey.

Thanks for hooking up a great and festive NYE dinner! Food was still great after all of these years!

Hattie's is the best restaurant I've been to in years. The décor was quaint and very southern. The entire atmosphere was laid back and charming. As soon as we entered the restaurant smelled amazing and the staff greeted us immediately. My friend and I shared the fried okra with creamy dipping sauce (delicious, crispy, flavorful, not greasy), hushpuppies which came with sweet butter (crisp delicate outside with soft cornbread interior) and fried chicken (crisp, flavorful, juicy). They also serve complimentary homemade biscuits and cornbread for the table. I had the fresh fruit mojito (strawberry/blueberry) which was also delicious. We shared pecan pie for dessert which was sweeter than my preference but still super tasty for those who love sweet desserts! I can't say enough good things about this place. The waiter was extremely attentive and nice. The food was INCREDIBLE. And I have a high standard for southern food since I grew up in Texas. I'd go back once a week if I lived here, but unfortunately do not. I'm already planning my next weekend trip back to Saratoga though, just to eat at Hattie's!

Hattie's is a must for us when we visit Saratoga. Have always found ourselves too stuffed for dessert, but this time, on one of our visits, we ate light and left room for dessert. Pecan pie was fabulous and the fruit crisp even better. When we came in on Friday we ate at Hattie's at the Mall, Saturday was the trifecta, i.e. Brunch, Lunch at the track, and Late Dinner with dessert. Sunday brunch again. Even the pancakes are great. Everything we have ever tried has been wonderful. It's hard to not get just chicken, but try everything. No dish is to humble to not be prepared to delight your senses. I would eat there every day if I lived there.
