Must do for visitors to Phoenix and residents alike. Better than San Diego Zoo in that the attractions are well spaced apart and don't feel crammed together. Recommend buying an annual pass if you stay at home or have schedule flexibility as a great walking trail, plenty of strollers and power Walker's in the morning, as a member you get in an hour before regular opening time and get to see some of the animals feed and get ready for the day. The stingray exhibit is well with the price, especially if you go for a feeding time, which is clearly posted. Same for the giraffe feeding, very kid friendly! The new tiger exhibit is great, especially with a heated rock feature close to the glass, which attracts then and gives you an up close look at their majesty.

Nice zoo. Desert exhibits are especially good and I like the lake with lemur island in the middle. A great stop to soak up some sunshine in the winter. We stop here before flying to the airport on an evening flight as it is so close

It's a wonderful place to visit. Highly recommend that if you live in the Phoenix area you get a membership! Go spend an hour and walk around with your family or your friends and enjoy the beautiful grounds and amazing animals... then you come back and enjoy a different section next week or next month! Much more enjoyable than trying to hurry through the entire zoo in a single day. We've been 5 or 6 times in the last 6 months and we LOVE it everytime!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.

I recently visited the phoenix zoo and had an amazing experience. There are so many exhibits and interesting animals to see. This a great place for anyone to come and have a good time. I went during the zoo lights at night and it was out of this world. They spent some serious time lighting this place up and I really enjoyed it.
