Less well known than its neighbour, the RRS Discovery, round the corner, but no less impressive. She's unusual in that she was never given masts or rigged, and her only voyage was under tow from where she was built in Kent to Dundee, but she's one of only a few remaining wooden hulled frigates built as part of a reserve fleet. The interior space is well preserved and it'd a great place for adults and children alike. I had a relative on the young offender 'prison' ship 'Mars' which was anchored in the river Tay at Dundee for over 60 years - seeing round the Unicorn gives somewhat of an insight into what life was like living on board an old ship. Admission very reasonable. Highly recommended.
