You come here to play with cats. However, the playfulness of the cats can vary. Most are around 1 year old, however they get so much attention, they are not always interested in playing. Still, if you wait a little, they can change their minds. Some of the cats (but not all) are up for adoption. They probably would appreciate a quieter home too. There is also food and tea.

It's a nice idea, but I don't think it really works in practice. The cats are getting a new round of strangers every hour or so, and must be fairly bored of them by now. The most aggressive humans will exhaust the patience of the average cat, leaving the rest of the humans unable to build any trust with the cats. Some are inured to the contact and lay there, perhaps enjoying it, but certainly not expressing active interest. It's hard to tell if they're just putting up with it. I'm pretty sure you can get a superior cat experience by just visiting a friend with housecats once in a while.

This place is adorable! Staff is super friendly and the food was good. The potato leek soup is delicious. Of course, the main attraction of the place is all the kitties, so cute. I'll have to take an allergy tab before my next visit so I can go in.

Clean, chic and modern cafe. Tea was delightful. Cats were friendly and playful. Staff was polite and helpful. Cute shop up front with cat merchandise. It's a bit pricey ($25/hr) but it's also San Francisco and you get unlimited green tea.
