Amazing museum! The exhibits are well organized and educational. Hands-on exhibits keep the whole family engaged in the fun. We especially enjoyed the fossil exhibit and the native people's exhibit. Don't miss the gift shop or the roof top deck.

This is a fantastic museum. If you love fossils and always yearned to be a paleontologist then this is the place for you. There is also a great geological presentation. Currently at the top level there is a display educating visitors about several native American tribes indigenous to the region. It's family friendly but not as chaotic as the aquarium.

I was surprised at how engaging this museum was! Wonderful for people of all ages. It has many hands on activities, was all arranged and designed very artfully, and educational. Don't miss the special exhibits that are off in another area on the third floor. And enjoy terrific views of the Salt Lake area from outdoor balconies! This museum is worth the price. Notice tickets are $2 less if you buy them online ahead of time.

This is a great museum. One of my favorite installments is a replica of the the Salt Lake Valley that lets you fill and drain water to see the different levels of Lake Bonneville/Great Salt Lake over time. Cool enough. But even better is that the installment sits in front of a panoramic window that overlooks the actual valley and lake, so you can look out on the real landscape and envision what you're simulating. That exhibit sums up what makes the museum so good--it's very interactive and tightly integrated with the surrounding landscape. Highly recommend a visit for kids or adults.
