Loved it! We had a corporate lunch here last week and the food was phenomenal. Friendly and professional wait staff really made the difference to us and we will definitely hold our next shareholders lunch here too. Thanks Balla!

Came here a couple of times and it was alright, kept forgetting to write a review. But the last time we were there, ordered the special lobster menu. When the dish arrived it was clearly yabby. The staff were hard to hail when you needed them and the worst part was being confronted by a gigantic cockroach in the toilet. It was big. I quickly notified the staff, who looked pretty freaked out by it as well but then one of the blazer wearing waiters, who seem to have a bit more authority, walked in shut the door and presumably killed the cockroach. I wish I took a picture. He tried to explain that these things just happen and that it wasn't in the kitchen... Hello!? Do you think a massive roach like that is alone? And they would be confined to the toilet? Anyway, they reluctantly gave us free coffee (that's it, I know right?) Probably my last visit there.

Had lunch at Balla on a Friday, we opt for the special seafood lunch, $39 for 2 course. to start with the bread were warm and fresh, would like to have a bit of butter as well but olive oil was provided which was also very nice. For entrée, the octopus was cooked to perfection! Could easily be the best octopus I've ever had. for main the market fish was also fresh and very well cooked with a bit of char flavour, accompanied by pickle onion and some veggi. My friend ordered dessert but it's on the sweet side. Overall an amazing experience for just $39, and free parking! will definitely go back and try truffle menu!

I went to Balla with 10 others for a team lunch celebration. Most tables have distant harbour views - perfect for lunch on a blue-sky day. Service was friendly and efficient. No beers on tap, but a good variety of bottled beer and wine - just a tad on the expensive side. Breads, olive oil, pickles and cured meats were fairly generous serves and all were delicious. I had their seafood lunch special (one course for $29, two for $39 with a coffee and biscotti). The food was fresh, cooked well, but just slightly salty. This special was excellent value so I'd recommend you check the Offers tab on their website for current specials. I hope you've found something useful here. In summary, I would definitely recommend a lunch at Balla.
