I regularly visit this restaurant. The service is 5 star, friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel very welcome. Food is amazing, the best and freshest seafood in the viaduct area. If you are looking for quality food, do yourself a favour and stop by. Crayfish and diamond clams are exceptional.

Clarify POA make sure $55.00 for a crayfish is just that and not per grams. And when they offer you water your actually going to pay for it. Wished i drank mine.

The food was tasty & fresh as well as value for money. Attention to detail by our waitress was outstanding.

Great service with great food. They managed to keep smile and served us the best while we make a lot of mess. Highly recommend for fresh seafood.

Pretty ordinary food for the prices charged. Think of an average (not even good) Chinese takeaway in a restaurant setting. Unfortunately they charged for tap water too, $1 per person doesn’t break the bank but feels like they are trying to wring every last dollar from their customers, especially since they bring it to your table as you’re seated as per your standard dining experience. Service was average, pleasant but nothing special. I would not return. The food was just too poor for the high prices charged and charging for tap water was just twisting the knife.

Very expensive for very ordinary food. You are definitely paying for the location. Their ''signature crayfish fried rice' was nothing more than crayfish flavoured rice - there didn't appear to be any crayfish in the dish at all - for $38. The food wasn't bad but only as good as regular takeaway. Service was ok.

The mâitre d' had the worst manners. Rude, dishonest, aggressive. This place appears to have a serious problem.

BAD PLACE NEVER GO TO THIS STORE!!! My friend and I ordered 2 ginger beer and 1 fried rice cost total $33, and the boss of that store just said to us: "That's it !!?". Then later he kept showing us really bad attitude and staring at us. If you think the customer order too little food at least you can MAKE A MINIMUM CHARGE NOTICE instead of treat rudely to your customer! The worst store I have had in NZ! The other staff was quite friendly and smiling, but the boss was so terrible to treat their customers. A really rude guy ruined the great NYE !

We went there for lunch with my wife on 12 Oct 2017. Terrible food, terrible service , overpriced. I usually don't give bad reviews, however this restaurant deserves it. Went there for lunch , and only went inside because it was almost empty .Waiter doesn't know their own drink list. For 5 min he was reassuring me that they don't have Macs Dark, and I had to show it to him in the fridge. Then he brought Steinlager to my wife intead of Asahi she ordered. First entry was 4 small prawn dim sum, obviously microwaved pre-cooked supermarket stuff .It was followed by the smallest fried scallops I ever seen .I have the impression they cut it in 3 pieces -I never saw such small scallops in New Zealand .Main was "sichuan prawns" .Let's me tell you guys-8 small srimps ( definetely not prawns ) doesn't qualify as a main. Also, if you grease it in tomato sauce, it doesn't give you the right to call it sichuan prawns .I lived in China for 6 years, and it was not ever remotely close to any sichuan food . After 3 meals I was still hungry, just as before lunch.Waiter was keep avoiding us , when we tried to pay. Disastorous place, overpriced and tasteless .Avoid at all cost!

Left feeling hungry and dissasified. The food was inedible and took a very long time to arrive . The service was almost worse . Our waitress meant well but didn't know the menu, any English or the first thing about customer service .

We were so disappointed with the service and the food was over priced and very small portions. Also just a note they should get people with hospitality experience because they had none.

Service is terrible, food ok but expensive.

very pricy but for ordinary Chinese food, it is like they would like to fool the foreign people who don't know China, this restaurant just for the fool and rich Chinese, don't go!!!

Worses place I have ever been . Very expansive for such a small portion and average food quality . Spent $200 for 2 , leave the place hungry and angry . Not recommending !!!

Quite expensive for 'pedestrian' food. Ordered a 'seafood platter': a deep-fried ensemble which was generally bland except for the prawns, and one hard lemon: you wouldn't think this cost $29! Also ordered fried rice and a veggie side, very usual Chinese fare, but at $23-25+ each, you'd at least think it was something even just a little bit special. Perhaps they could have compensated the mediocrity through quantity... Maybe it's the fresh seafood they specialise in, but unfortunately, I don't think I'm willing to take another chance in this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it.
