This park isn't as frequented as Wai tapu which makes it really enjoyable. It's not commercialized and you can walk the park without much crowds. The views are amazing and the hike is worth it. You see a lot of geothermal activity. Definitely recommend!

Great place lots of geothermal activity and features. Great walk to the lake mostly down hill.

An easy (mostly downhill) hike to see some really cool volcanic lakes. The stair climb up to the small, lower lake is definitely worth it. (Aaaamazing) Several spots to ride the bus back up to the visitor center.
