As a restaurant with rooms this is excellent. Three very comfortable rooms, very friendly owner and staff with delicious food leaning heavily towards seafood. A long way from noise and bustle - very peaceful.

The old passage restaurant is named after the River Severn crossing between Arlingham and to the South and Newnham to the north on the outermost part of a horseshoe bend in the river. The location and riverside view and walks are breathtaking. The restaurant is definitely "haute cuisine" and the chef is one of the best in Gloucestershire. Tthe restaurant is always very busy and you need to book in advance to guarantee a place at the table. There is also a nice informal lounge with sofas and it's a good place to enjoy morning / afternoon tea or coffee.
