SAN DIEGO OPERA Wow!! The great unwashed got pummeled with solo and choral performances that left my jaw gaping at the Sicilian Festa yesterday in Little Italy. Yup - that good. The drama that colored every aria would make a country-western angst riddled ballad seem like a breakfast food jingle. I regret that my iPhone ran out of juice before I could record more video. Most tragic is that the San Diego Opera is in dire financial straits. Listen to them in person once, and you'll be reaching into your pockets so fast for a donation you'll be bringing up pieces of underwear with the bills. Kudos and fist bumps to all you magnificent chorus members. You Rock!! Luis Magdaleno
