Even 1 star is too much, as the staff and manager are hopeless. I called the restaurant on Friday lunch time to book a table for 5 on Saturday the week after. A lady answered the phone gave me a time slot between 6 and 8:30, which was ok for us. She asked me my name, mobile number and email address and everything was booked and ok. By chance, I called them again on Wednesday to check where we could park and they told me they couldn't find my booking and the lady that booked me in is not there yet, and she will call me as soon as she gets back. I've waited until 6PM but no call from them. I've called them back. First they advised, she had forgotten to transfer my name to the main book! Then they said, she forgot to call me to let me know that restaurant is fully booked! I was very upset, and they passed me to the manager which was even worse, as he was rude to me and advised that that lady even can't remember talking to me! He then advised the restaurant was fully booked two months in advance. In the end, I've been put in a very embarrassing position as some of my guests are travelling to Southampton for a birthday dinner, which we will have to cancel because its to late to book else where, as who ever booked me in, had forgotten to write my name down in their reservation book.

Beautiful food, location and service in a very lovely building, we enjoyed our 5th anniversary meal here and will be there again next and many years to come.

The waiters were very accommodating to us. The food was delicious and we were full by the end. I would definitely recommend. They have an outside terrace which is really lovely on a summer's evening.
