This was the first time I landed and departured from Skiathos, heaven on earth. I can´t say much about the airport upon my arrival, it was late (21.35) nobody was there, it was dark and abandoned. Some lights were swiched on, only on the luggage claim area and WHEN the luggage started to drop. But I was surprised on my departure to find garbage everywhere on the floors, on the seats. Worse, security check -there where your hand luggage should be thoroughly checked. Two younger men were arguing there, the one who was seated and who should look at the screen the content of our bags (which he did not) and the other, who was standing next the frame where we should go through - he didn´t even take a look at any passender - he was too busy arguing loud with his collegue, speaking greek - which I understand very well- and cursing all the Saints, saying "malaka" in front of the passengers.
Next surprise, gate desk. The young lady employee was standing there by the door, and then comes the other one, very angry, screaming on the other, throwing her papers agressively to the next seat and also saying nervously "malakismeni". I didn´t hear all the conversation, it was horrible to listen and to watch the scenes, while the passengers were standing next to them, maybe even feeling guilty being there and that very moment. Shame, because I am sure there are many young people with better manners to work there!
