This is my favorite place in Washington. Rooms are clean. The food is great. The staff are gracious and friendly. The lake is tranquil. Great escape!

The lunch menu is short, but has good options. The portions are large. My friend and I could have split a meal easily (although they charge a fee for that). Everything was fresh and good and the service was decent. We enjoyed hiking around the area before and after lunch.

Service is fantastic and very friendly. Location is remote and quiet, with plenty of trails that lead right up to the lodge's grounds. No cell service out here! Wifi is available in the center of the lodge but may not reach to the farther rooms. The main room in the center of the lodge is spacious and beautiful, with plenty of comfy couches for all to relax in. Rooms in the original building are a bit small (but cozy!) and have relatively modern bath furnishings despite the lodge's age. Definitely recommended for a getaway from civilization, without losing any of its comforts!
