A fun family event. If you have a reason to travel the coast this is an excellent throughway from NJ to MD. it is also a nice way to experience some great coastal towns.
A great experience. For someone coming in from the Philly area, you can do a "Loop". Drive down to the NJ beaches, end of the day, go to the ferry, travel over to Delaware south. Spend another day at the beaches - and then drive up Delaware back to where you are.. Do this around July/August as it will give you the maximum sunlight .. and sunset views.. Food is neat, There is a nice souvenir shop if interested as well
This is one of the better ferry experiences we have had. The staff is super friendly and the ferries are well maintained. There are many sitting and viewing areas for passengers including a climate controlled deck, a couple of bars, and a gift shop on board. During peak season it is highly recommended to make reservations in advance which can easily be done online.
