Definitely one of the best places you can take your children while visiting Lynchburg! Be aware of the possible sensory overload, though.

I have always loved coming here since I was a kid! Now as an adult I brought my son here and we both had a blast! I can still climb through the tubes and slides. I love all the different areas there is too much to put in a review you have to experience it for yourself. The river exhibit and the observation deck on the top floor are 2 of my favourite parts.

The only thing that could make this better is if it were better sectioned off for smaller children. they do have an area for smaller children but the rest of the building is for older kids (4 and up). With open staircases, etc you can't take your eyes off the smaller ones.

Highly recommend this place! Great exhibits and so much to do and see. Great place for young children to learn history and enough to enjoy for hours. Check their website for other activities happening. They always have something interesting and fun happening.Great staff to help you with all of the activities!
