I have been here a few times for lunch with colleagues and had a pleasant experience each time. Service is courteous and food is also good. I have had the pizza and salmon salad here, both of which I enjoyed equally. The espresso and canoli though will be the key reasons to go again.

Absolutely love this restaurant. The decor and atmosphere is very moody but clam. As an interior designer I appreciate the ambience created. The food is great, only complaint would be the service. I find it can be rather inconsistent. My last visit the server made a minor error with the receipt and it look nearly 45 minutes to correct. That was the only disappoint but other then that I definitely recommend this spot!

Updated: Had the T-Bone for dinner... Beware, they will cut it up for you. I realize it's for a family, but it's only 36 ounces bone in, so if a man wants his steak to himself, don't cut it please! What's with these places these days? They knew it was for me alone... Very crowded at lunch. Good food options and good dessert. Not ideal for conversation as it's very crowded and loud at lunch.

Came here twice and my experience here has been quite consistent. Food is delicious, tasting quite fresh and they even offer oceanwise options here. Service is friendly, but a little brisk due to the crowded nature of the restaurant. Great atmosphere makes dining a pleasure. Do be careful of when you come, if there's a concert nearby, the place can be quite packed.

I just came back to my desk from a[n extended] lunch at Taverna Mercatto. I have one word: Excellent. The food was great, they even made a smaller tray of antipasto for me and my old friend, lasagna was one of the best I had, ever. But the best was the service, we did not get a table because we were late in calling for a reservation and apparently this place is quite busy on Thursdays, I can see why, so we sat at the bar. Daniel was an excellent bartender and waiter at the same time - thank you Daniel! I was watching him a bit because I have this downside from the time I was managing people in sales and he is constantly moving, dust don't settle on him... he is always looking after people, doesn't take short cuts and does this with the greatest attitude and patience for a busy place with a lot of high maintenance clients. Also good words for Daniel's lady colleague at the bar, she did not have time to introduce herself (pity) but she also was constantly on the go looking after people at the bar and in the room. Excellent, I cannot say it enough, I recommend the people and the food and the place if you want to have a great lunch!
