Well very disappointing evening. My Husband called and booked to celebrate our 5th Anniversary which is on the 31st Dec. We arrived at 6.50pm for 7.00pm reservation we were seated on the verandah which we requested but from then on the evening was a disappointment, we weren't asked if we wanted a drink, we had to ask, we eventually received the complimentary bun, nice, the starters came out at about 7.20pm from that time till 7.50pm other patrons kept receiving drinks, food & desserts and my husband had to go inside and request a second drink in which they apologised (in 1 hour we were only offered a single drink). The meals were delicious but if we were told how large the side dish of potatoes were (at a cost of $10 a bowl) we would have order one between us, so it was quite a waste of food and money. We were asked if we would like dessert, which we declined and no sooner did we answer we were bought the bill and then quickly after the efpos machine to pay without again being asked if we would like coffee or another drink. Staff are lovely and polite but all waitressing staff need to be more vigilant towards all customers. 2 hours and not a great experience will not be going back.

Great night with friends. My main meal was perfect, no entrees for us. Kept room for dessert! So glad we did, absolutely fantastic. Would recommend it to everyone! Mains at first glance seem a bit pricey (all the same price) but worth every penny! Check it out, you wont be disappointed !

Those who have lived in Ipswich for longer than 10 minutes will know there are not too many restaurants, owned by locals, run by locals, that have lasted...longer than 10 minutes. This is one fine dining restaurant that I hope stays for the long haul. Chef Mark and Angela are both friendly and great at what they do. If you have come here once before and haven't been back since, I suggest you give it another go. I have been here 3 times in the last week alone and each meal I had eaten was perfect (try the lamb!). I look forward to returning again soon!

I took my wife to The Cottage for our 10th Wedding Anniversary dinner. As someone who has been in the hospitality industry for many years as a chef and other roles I would highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to have a fantastic meal. Entree, Main and Dessert were faultless. If I was a food critic I would score 11 out of 10. The service was amazing also. Thanks for a memorable evening.
