My family loves to eat at Pappadeaux's whenever possible. My husband loves the raw oysters. He has had issues with the size before. My daughter and I love the grilled oysters which are very good. Sometimes there's a temperature problem with them not being quite warm enough though. My favorite thing that I go far for are the crab claws with the dirty rice which can be served as an appetizer, which is very large, or as a meal. To my disappointment the last 5 times I have gone they have either not had them or could not get them due to the cold weather. Be sure to let them know if it's your wedding anniversary or special event you get free dessert yummy.

Service was TERRIFIC...Jeff and Brenda at the bar were terrific... The margaritas were way to sweet...the seafood gumbo was too thin...the salmon I had was over cooked...the creme brulla was good...the coffee was very thin... I am sure most of this is because I am from Louisiana and am use to thick gumbos..and rich black full bodied coffee....

We came in with a party of 17 last minute during lunch on a friday. They said they didn't know if they would be able to accommodate a large party on short notice because they had a few other large parties and all private rooms were booked. After about 10 minutes, they came to us and had our table ready! When we were seated, 2 waiters came up and helped us quickly with our drinks and had bread on our table in no time. Of course, we were the difficult group that had to have the tickets split 5 different ways. They did not mess up a single order even though none of us were sitting next to the other people on our check. They were very accommodating and understanding the whole time. We were all coming from a funeral for a great friend and the waiters were very empathetic and caring for the mood at the table. The waiters were amazing, I believe one waiter was Alex, not sure of the other. The whole experience was great. To be honest, I couldn't tell you how the food was for everyone, but sometimes, the experience you get from the staff is worth a 5 star.

Great food at a reasonable price. Food could have easily come from the best New Orleans kitchen in a Texas size restaurant. The dining room was a massive room on the casual. This did make it a bit noisy but not worth complaining about. Just know this if you are looking for a quaint, quiet spot - this is not it! But if you are looking for good seafood at a place to yuk it up, this is definitely the spot.
