What a contrast to the gridlocked concrete torture of Silicon Valley. Only 20 minutes drive from there, u can quickly experience that kind of arid, almost starched beauty that reflects this region well. The hike is quite easy, with a wide mostly paved pathways snaking around the hills. The views are spectacular of the mellow landscape. Shame about the obscene electric power lines... 1 star less for that. Honestly after a dog-eat-dog binary-focused day trapped in the tentacles of whatever tech business u slave away for, this is like sinking smoothly into a lush golden bath of melodies that stroke ur soul.

Nice trails here and the is a nice farm for little kids. But this place has become victim of its popularity: it is usually so crowded that you spend a significant amount of time finding a parking spot. Often large crowds on the trails.

All kinds of trails that you can think of, easy to moderate to hard, both in terms of elevation and distance. If you're a trail lover, you'll find your favorite American trail right here. Being under half an hour's drive from anywhere in the South Bay, this is a haven for all the Silicon Valley folk. Love this, and will miss it sorely if and when I do leave NorCal.
