River Legacy is a great sanctuary. I run here very often, usually 3-4 times a week. They have plenty of winding concrete trail (of 9 miles I believe) which I never have ran completely to the end. I also enjoy the 10 miles of hiking/mountain Biking trail the park provides, and is definitely where I run the most. I live close by and frequent this park. I only did not give it five stars simply because the unpaved hiking/biking trails could expand greatly, but I still enjoy them very much none-the-less. Running along the concrete trail you will cross several bridges over the trinity river, on the unpaved hiking/biking trail you see several marsh/ponds on the southern loop, which will have you running in prairie after about 1.5 miles before you reach the West loop which will have you overlooking the trinity river for roughly 250 meters of so. The north and east loops are heavily forested. It's a trail everyone should experience!

Very good trail for you and your furry child to run, walk, and view the scenery, I take my hukies here and they love it, very well kept, multiple resting areas and a nice park for the kids, a little dispaly set up along the trail, good for a bike ride or a photography shoot, also theres an area where you you can have a picnic.

Really enjoy this park. Plenty of parking. They have some good views on the river but mostly offer long trails for walks. Easy to get three to four miles in about an hour with no hassle on a paved trail, good if it rains. Often see armadillos, hawks, raccoons, or even a bobcat like I did this past weekend.
