I'm from London. When my dumplings arrived to my table I was shocked at how BIG they were, delicous too! Dumplings in NZ are HUGE HUGE HUGE :-)
I love the deco here with the distillery at the back and a real shab chic feel to the place without being pretencious, very laid back.
Just a FYI, Aarons Kitchen is behind the liquor shop. We followed a Chinese lady to the back and that's how we found it.
I'm Chinese and although the dumplings in NZ are nice they do have a kiwi spin to them often with Veg in them, which I love!
Terrible service - paid $15 for teriyaki chicken and ended up with a mountain of vegetables on rice and about 3 small pieces of chicken. When I went back to ask for a refund they refused because I'd "opened the food" yet not eaten a single bite. When I argued the lady started screeching in an Asian language and would not speak another word of English to me. In the end they added more chicken to the meal but would NOT give me a refund as I asked. Appalling service.
