Went in this morning and got a breakfast sandwich that comes with a side of hash browns. I get my breakfast sandwich in a plastic container and it has fruit inside (so I guess this place wanted to steam fruit in a hot plastic box with my sandwich). I ask the woman at the counter- "is this supposed to come with potatoes" and she answered "the potatoes aren't ready yet." Puzzled, I responded "but I paid for them and you never told me they weren't ready so I could order something else?" She said "I gave you fruit." I'm sorry "WHAT?" In what world does a place of business act like this? Calling later to get my money back because they charged me for something I did not receive.

The food is out of this world. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. This restaurant's food and surroundings should get a perfect 5 but the employees are annoying, don't think the customer comes first and quite frankly have down right attitude. Too bad, the owner is a charming lady. My husband and I were repeat customers, three times from Los Angeles, over a 4 day period but the restaurant needs a do over in staff.

Pretty great prices for a pretty great breakfast. The French toast and quiche are amazing!! We loved this place - so glad we stopped by for breakfast outside before going to the national mall.

A MUST DO for everyone visiting Capitol Hill! I have been going to Le Bon Cafe since it first opened 25 years ago and I lived in the neighborhood. At that time, there were no good coffee shops that served lattes and espresso - no Starbucks. Le Bon Cafe was a happy discovery for my husband and I, recent transplants from New Orleans, who missed the cafes on every corner there. Though I moved away 19 years ago, I still make it a point to have a fresh croissant and latte when I visit DC each year - most recently to visit my daughter in college. It is still the charming, attentive oasis on the Hill that offers a variety of delicious sandwiches, salads, coffees and pastries.
