We travel to Iowa a couple of times a year and try to eat at Johnny's at least once. It is a little pricey but worth every penny! I have tried several of their dishes and have never been disappointed. Their seating is spacious and private for groups. The staff has always been respectful and responsive. Great place!

Excellent steak. Our group had a long pleasant meal together. Excellent service. Good wine. Mixed drinks were tasty. I was too full, but the desserts looked good, and my friends said they were good.

Ordered a sirloin and was not impressed. I enjoy steak often and consider myself seasoned when it comes to beef. Generally when I venture into a new establishment I lean toward leaner beef because it's harder to destroy. Ribeye, strip, and prime meat not so much. The service was not what I expected. The server was kind and professional but they seemed short staffed. Steak arrived in about 42 minutes. This was a first visit for me. I would try them again since Google ratings state that they are great.

Great food! Great service. Kind of pricey, however definitely one of the best steaks I've had in my life. Lunches are very reasonably priced. Patio views are awesome!!!

Disappointing experience to be honest this was our first time to a Johnny's Italian steakhouse and we were hoping for better. We were sat down at a dirty table and left there it took 7 minutes for our server Robert to appear in a restaurant with only two other tables filled. We ordered 2 Pepsi's which took another 10 minutes. Another 10 minutes and we ordered 2 steaks. It wasn't until 40 minutes later we got those steaks from another server entirely. The steaks were completely underwhelming 9oz steaks that looked more like 4oz and tasted like they had sat on the warmer the whole time. During our meal the only time we were checked on was by another waitress who was working her but off to make sure customers were satisfied. We got done and a lady who looked like management came to get our plates and the only other time we saw Robert was when he gave us our check. We felt like we were put in a box and forgotten about. Would not return.
