The service can get very redneck. They raffle off pies on weekends, so prepare for screaming while you eat...by waitors! Good is ok, depending on what you order.

I went to Polly Pies to pick up a Turkey Dinner for Thanksgiving. All dinners had to be pre-paid. This would have given the Managers who staffed employees on Thanksgiving an idea of how busy it would be. I got there at 9 AM. Didn't get into the door of the restaurant until 12:15 and left at 3:30 PM. This facility at Adams and Brookhurst could not have done a worse job satisfying their customers. The boxed dinner had 9 items in it and for that I was subjected to a horrendously bad start to Thanksgiving. By all means go to Marie Callanders and speed past Polly's Pies.

What separates this place from other typical American diners is the value. Polly's serves up gigantic portions and offers multiple sides with each meal. If you're there for breakfast, make sure to get a Cinnamon Roll, the thing is the size of Giannis Antetokounmpo's hand.

Great home cooked style comfort food. Lots of senior citizens eat here, but I think that's one of the great things about Polly' s Pies. Great service, and if you get the elderly lady as your hostess she is the best.
