The food is below average, the prices are in the range of $20-$35 per person (without alcohol), the service is even worse. Huge portions of very low quality food at overboard prices. I feel like I ate at McDonalds and paid fine dining price, except McDonalds food would rank higher. Automatic 15% tip for really poor service- 30 minutes wait to order your food, another 45 to an hour until your food gets to the table, another 30 wait for check. UNSANITARY CONDITIONS. PLACE HAS NO RESTROOM AND NO PLACE TO WASH HANDS. I wonder where cooks and waitstaff wash their hands.
Not a good quality food or service. Jerk chicken is very far from great Caribbean food. The sleazy owner is looking to trick tourists to his place to get as much money as possible without any quality.
I think the other places in Fish Fry overshadow this little gem. It's no frills and not touristy. I had grilled snapper and conch fritters and everything was great. Prices were reasonable for the Bahamas. Give it a try!
Everyone said we should try the Fish Fry area in the Nassau. We went to Big Yard. It was a small restaurant and the staff was very friendly. We started with Conch Fritters and they were delicious. There were five in our party so we wanted to try a number of items. We had the fish and shrimp platter, jerk chicken and jerk lobster. The food was cooked to perfection. We would return.
